1.  Oedipus Rex

In groups of three, read the excerpt of Oedipus Rex on pages 42-47.
Each person should take a role: 

Oedipus 
Teiresias
Chorus

In your small group, read the instructions for the writing prompt on page 48.
Together, respond to the prompt. (It does not necessarily have to be at least 300 words.)
It will help formulate ideas for the next activity.

2.  Philosophical Chairs

Would you want to know your future or is ignorance bliss?

Take a position on the question and explain your stance.

3.  Invictus 

With a partner, read and annotate the poem on page 22 of your StudySync book. 
Then, complete a TPCASTT handout based on the ideas in the poem. 

Closure

Explain whether or not your opinion changed during the philosophical chairs.
