Based off your brainstorming chart, select two texts to analyze in your essay.
Using the Venn Diagram handout, compare and contrast your two sources.
You should include at least three bullets in each circle.
Refer to page 72 in your StudySync books for an example.

Thesis Statement

Read through pages 68 and 69 of your StudySync books.
Then, create your own working thesis.
Finish the activity by finding a partner to review your thesis.
Use the guiding questions for feedback: 

How clearly did the writer state his or her central idea or claim?
Does the thesis statement clearly and effectively address the topic posed?
Does the statement clearly express the focus for the rest of the essay?

Rough Draft due September 17.
Final Draft due September 20.
